It may also be mixed with an acidic smell or a fishy smell similar to that of spoiled animal fat. However, this is just a temporary characteristic at the initial stage of smelling. This is mainly caused by factors such as the metabolites of microorganisms during the fermentation process, the changes in the components of the agarwood itself, and some natural impurities.
